WINERY
Rockfield operates a 200 tonne capacity winery on site, producing wine
for our own label, as well as providing a contract winemaking service to
a select group of other local vineyards.
Estate grown
grapes are either hand-picked or machine harvested, and immediately transferred the short distance to our winery for
chilling and/or processing, to preserve maximum colour, flavour and freshness.
In the winemaking phase we aim for minimal intervention and maximum fruit-driven expression,
with good
acid balance, and fine tannin development , so that our wines exhibit full varietal
and regional character and flavour.
